This policy describes how the DontScroll extension handles information. It is written in plain language for the Chrome Web Store and for anyone using the extension.
No servers run by the developer
I do not operate any servers or backends for DontScroll. The extension does not send your data to me. I do not sell or share user data with third parties.
No analytics (for now)
The extension does not include analytics or tracking. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any analytics are enabled.
Where the extension runs
DontScroll runs only on youtube.com. It uses bundled JavaScript and CSS that ship with the extension—there is no loading of remote code for the extension’s core behavior.
What is stored
The only setting stored is your on/off preference for hiding Shorts (and related options as implemented in the extension). That value is saved using Chrome’s extension storage API (and may sync through Google’s infrastructure if you have Chrome sync enabled). I do not receive or collect that data.
Personal information
I do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) through this extension.
